The Pre-Meeting Forum is Back!
By now you've heard that networking is a necessary process for identifying your next position - both internally (if you're still employed) or externally if you're looking for work. Perhaps you've never had to network before, and the prospect of having to present yourself over and over to others is exhausting before you even start. And today, with all the social media networking, it's just frightening!
The Pre-meeting forum will run from 4:30 - 5:30 p.m. Wednesday September 15th.
But Stick Around Afterwords
Our After Dinner Key Note Speaker, Luis A. Martínez will be presenting a program called "The World Is Flat- Implications for Business and Human Resources". The World Is Flat: A Brief History of the Twenty-First Century, by Tom Friedman, is an international bestselling book that analyzes globalization. Friedman advocates that the world is quickly becoming a level playing field (flat), primarily in terms of commerce, where all competitors have an equal opportunity. What can/should we do as nations, companies, communities and individuals to remain competitive in a global market?
